Some see numbers and I saw manipulation... 'Boy, look at how 'the numbers' don't fit on the chart I constructed!'
ReplyDeleteI think *some* valid questions were asked however in the context of numerous manipulations and straw-man arguments my confidence in the content is very low. Numbers in poor context are misleading.
I do celebrate any questioning of the status quo - socially minded concepts should be challenged as stringently as all others - I just don't think this organisation has succeeded in a sober assessment devoid of strong bias.
Unlike you "Wioota" I see a growing world population that is unable to provide the basics of survival, with no end. I see a world with dwindling resources - and a large separation of have and have nots.
ReplyDeleteI see the reality of controlled population growth - particularly through immigration as creating a stable middle class. (China has taken ita step forward with population planning and has increased its standard of living.)
I get to travel to third world countries on an annual basis where there is no middle class and find living (existence) standards appalling.
Question the status quo on any intellectual level you like - but the gumballs used by Mr. Beck as a visual aid are not a mere fabrication but a fair representation of human lives spilling over into the ground - by the millions.
While you are sitting in traffic, worrying about global warmimg, aids, and 60% of the world unable to provide potable water, please provide me with the name of any organization that is "devoid of a strong bias" and I'll show you a herd.
